From the Pastor’s Heart: What a blessed day we had this past Sunday at Calvary. God blessed as so many guests joined us for worship and a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner. What’s even better is that many of our friends are planning to come back and join us again. If what we did encouraging someone to join us in worship results in bringing people into the church and more importantly the family of God then Praise God! Our kitchen team, ably led by Pat Love did a marvelous job preparing and serving a wonderful feast. With as many who stayed to eat it’s amazing that we had more than enough food. As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday next week I’m reflecting on how much I have to be thankful for. Last year at this time I had never given any thought to living in Sedalia, Missouri. God has been so gracious to me and Marie allowing us to serve such a fine church as Calvary Baptist. An added bonus is that we are just a little over 100 miles from two of our grown children and four of our grandchildren. The Lord willing we will see them all this weekend and watch a basketball game and gymnastics meet. God is good! Thankful for Calvary, Pastor Don
