Calvary Baptist Church has been a lighthouse for the gospel to the Sedalia community for 90 years. This Sunday, September 25th the community of faith at Calvary will be celebrating this anniversary. Former members and friends as well as previous pastors and staff will be present to share in this celebration.
The festivities will begin at 8:50 am as Pastor Ted Francis will be bringing a special message during a joint Sunday School session for all youth and adults. Pastor Mike Cooper, the pastor of First Baptist Church of Centralia who was called to preach at Calvary will be bringing the morning message at 10:00 am. There will be special music by former music director Charlie Henrickson as well as others. After the worship service we will enjoy a carry in dinner with fried chicken, green beans and drink provided by the church. Everyone is asked to bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share. Immediately following this dinner will be a special time of music and testimonies which will conclude with a challenge for the future by Pastor Don Satterwhite Everyone who ever attended Calvary Baptist Church in invited to participate in this historic day. Weare looking forward to celebrating what God has done as well as what He is going to do.
