                Welcome to Calvary Baptist Church and the New Year, 2022. One month is already gone, but our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is still on the throne reigning on high. We had an outstanding year of ministry in the youth department; as we have seen God do some great things with His young people. Just this December at Xtreme Winter in Branson, one of God’s children, Carlas Sieger, placed his faith and trust in Jesus Christ; Praise the Lord!
                Through his faithfulness and many other of the youth, they have invited their friends to come on Wednesday night and we have seen it grow over the past year. Just this last Wednesday (Jan 26) we had 16 youth in attendance, and we were still miss 9 others. God has been gracious to Calvary during the pandemic by bring the youth out, workers ins, and allowing ministry to move forward.
                Our AWANA program is moving at a steady pace. I want to thank all those who give each week to lead and teach all the children that come every Wednesday night. These leaders give of themselves to teach God’s Word to the up and come leaders of God’s church. It is important for us to encourage and embolden them in their task. If you know of someone who has a child between the ages of Pre-k and 5th Grade invite them to come on Wednesday night. Their children can go to AWANA and they can come to Prayer Meeting & Bible Study with you.
                There are several activities coming for the youth and adults. I want to encourage all of you to earnestly pray about these and see where God is leading you to serve. In two if the activities we are in need of chaperones and the others workers to participate on the mission field with us. Here are the upcoming events.
February 11 – Winter Jam – Concert, Kansas City, MO
April 1-3 – Young Christian’s Weekend, Branson, MO
June 6-10 – Vacation Bible School, Sedalia, MO
June 25-July 2 – Wisconsin Mission Trip – Hope Community Church, Racine WI
July 22-July 30 – Montana Mission Trip – In Partnership with Harmony Association
July 25-July 29 – Inlow Summer Camp – 3rd thru 12th Grade – Need Counselors, Helpers, and Bus Drivers
July 30-Aug 6 – Minnesota Mission Trip – Camp Jim – Needs Counselors, Fisherman, Cooks, Helpers, Etc.
                            (This trip is primarily for Adults)
Aug 11-21 – Missouri State Fair – Missouri Baptist Tent – Opportunity to Share the Gospel
